This fascinating vintage animal print depicts artistic renderings of what dinosaurs would have looked like in their natural habitat, based on mid-centuries scientific knowledge. The top frame shows brontosaurus bathing in a swamp (Jurassic era. The bottom frame shows triceratops (creataceous era) and what could be tyrannosaurus in the background on the left. Both illustrations are black and white renderings of paintings by C.R. Knight, housed in a New York museum.
This fauna illustration comes from a vintage French 1949 entitled "La vie des animaux", which translates to "Animals' life".
Frame it and hang it in your home for the perfect dinosaur decor!
SIZE : page approx. 19,7 x 28.8 cm (7 3/4" x 11 3/8"), image approx. 25 x 18 cm (9 7/8" x 7")
AUTHENTICITY : This is a book page from 1949, that comes from a damaged volume. The paper is somewhat yellowed but the image itself is in good condition.
SHIPPING : This print ships in a cellophane bag and a cardboard-reinforced envelope. The mat and frame are NOT included.
